Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I am very excited about the possibility of working for the “search engine that plants trees”.  Ecosia is truly a new, innovative, forward-facing model. Coming from over a decade in the nonprofit and public sector- it is refreshing to come across an organization that does social good and has its revenue stream built into its model. It is an out-of-the-box model for social change that I am personally very inspired by.

I believe I can add value to Ecosia as my cross-disciplinary policy and design experience gives me a great foundation to create compelling content. I have the experience, skills, dedication, and optimism to make a positive impact in your organization. Having lived in seven different countries, my experience spans across several continents and I have worked with public agencies, nonprofits, arts and cultural organizations, and design agencies.  I bring an international mindset and indefatigable optimism for positive social change to all my work. I hold a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles. I speak English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

I have a track record of driving online traffic and growing social media networks through compelling, unique, and captivating written and visual content- including for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Kounkuey Design Initiative, Women for Women International, Advancement project, and for my own illustration brand. I have also written two grants for the National Endowment for the Arts, both of which were awarded funding.

I have a combination of nonprofit and public sector policy experience plus a full design and visual arts portfolio. In my policy work, I use my design and arts background to reimagine how information and research are presented to make complex or dense information visually enticing and easy to grasp. I have an eye for design, fluency in the Adobe Suite, and knack for building bright and welcoming websites.

I have a uniquely rounded view of my field, having worked as both grants manager and grants writer; social entrepreneur and government employee; analyst and advocate; independent creative and collaborative community organizer. I am comfortable writing and designing press and marketing material,  coordinating large events, managing large scale and multi-tiered projects, curating programs and lecture series, and feel very much in my element when working creatively, collaboratively, and responsively.

I hope to have the opportunity of joining your team and supporting the meaningful and tree-filled work of Ecosia!
