Clare Celeste Studio is a Berlin-based installation studio working internationally, creating immersive, large-scale, nature-inspired installations and bespoke commissioned installation environments for luxury brands, museums, and cultural institutions. The studio is known for its monumental color-saturated botanical installations that translate natural ecosystems into immersive spatial experiences for global architectural, cultural, and brand environments.
Clare Celeste Börsch is a Berlin-based German-American artist creating immersive botanical installations, hand-cut paper sculptures and large-scale nature-inspired artworks for museums, cultural institutions, galleries and luxury houses worldwide. Her work has been exhibited at the American Museum of Natural History and Homo Faber in Venice and commissioned by Cartier during Art Basel Miami Beach. She is the 2027 Martin Shallenberger Artist-in-Residence at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens.
Working with natural history illustrations from the 1800s, sourced from the Biodiversity Heritage Library, Börsch builds dense, colour-saturated worlds of flora and fauna that celebrate biodiversity in a time of mass extinction. These archival images carry a double history: they record the beauty of the living world, but they were also made in the service of colonial collecting. Her work holds both, inviting audiences to step inside nature rather than simply observe it.
Scale is central to her language. Her work ranges from intimate gilded paper sculptures to room-filling installations that suspend, wrap and saturate entire spaces. It dissolves the boundary between viewer and image, creating environments that feel at once intimate and vast. Every surface is densely composed, rewarding close looking even as it fills the space.
The same practice moves fluidly between museum exhibitions, gallery presentations, public art commissions and luxury brand installations, holding to a consistent conceptual core. Partners include Cartier, Chanel, the American Museum of Natural History, Greenpeace and New York Magazine. Her work has been featured in The Guardian, FAZ, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Oprah Magazine.
Each project is directed by Börsch and realised by Clare Celeste Studio, her Berlin-based team of assistants and production partners, delivering ambitious site-specific installations across the globe.
